Transport
Metro
Rome’s subway consists of two lines – A (red) and B (blue.) The two lines intersect at Termini. There are trains from 5.30 AM until 11.30 PM every day.

Buses
Most buses run from 5:30am to just after midnight; others end around 10:30pm. When in doubt, always check the timetable and the itinerary of the buses on the yellow plate you’ll find at each stop.

Taxi
If you plan on taking a taxi in Rome, look out for unofficial taxi drivers – they are out to rip off tourists. Be especially careful if you plan on taking a taxi to the airport – scam drivers will often ask for more than twice the standard price. Look for an official taxi, which will be either yellow or white, and make sure it has a meter.
